And he has not only revealed his public face, the public horizon of his life, but he has revealed to us his Son, Jesus Christ. And it doesn’t get more intimate than that with God. When we come to the Bible, we’re coming to God’s self-revelation. And in a way that is analogous to the horizons of my life, every passage of Scripture we read must be understood within multiple horizons of meaning.
